Responsibilities
1.Review operating expenditures so that expenses incurred are aligned with the approved annual budget and correspond with the patient volumes.
2.Oversee daily patient and other operating income and expenditure to ensure it is fully accounted for and deposited.
3.Ensure that all patient and other operating revenue is appropriately captured in the financial records and reported against the budget.
4.Prepare monthly financial reports, review and explain variances, and ensure that these reports are reviewed by the Finance Manager, AKHS Syria, and submitted on time to the Head Office.
5.Prepare monthly quarterly and annual volume and financial reports and ensure they are accurate, reconciled to the General Ledger, and are provided on time.
6.Participate in the preparation of annual volume, financial, and capital budgets for all departments / units.
7.Prepare and monitor annual volume, financial and capital budget, and forecast in consultation with clinical and administrative team leads.
8.Prepare monthly cash request.
9.Assist in continuous monitoring and improvement in internal controls.
10.Assist in the preparation of financial statements for annual statutory audits and project audit.
11.Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cash requests and forecasts
12.Support the Finance Manager in reviewing/analyzing monthly reports, provide training for staff and support the development and monitoring of budget.

Qualifications
Education:
-The Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance.

Specific Vacancy Requirements
Experience:
- 4 years of relevant experience in an NGO or commercial international organization.
- Experience in a multicultural / international environment would be an advantage.
- Experience of team supervision, will be advantageous.
Competencies:
Technical Skills:
1.Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards
2.Understanding of cost accounting principles and techniques
3.Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
4.Ability to contribute to financial planning initiatives, including long-term financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic financial decision-making
5.Proficiency in using financial software (e.g. I Scala) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel for financial analysis and modelling
6.Mastery of advanced functions and formulas in MS Excel for financial analysis, modeling, and data manipulation
7.Ability to prepare and manage budgets, and develop variance analysis
8.Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Arabic, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner
9.Strong focus on accuracy and meticulousness in performing accounting tasks.

1.Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with cross-functional teams, senior management, external stakeholders, and auditors
